Shanthi Williams is an Indian actress who is popular in Tamil and Malayalam film and television industry. She was born to Malayali parents in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu in India. She initiated her career as a child artist when she was just 12 years old. She did supporting and second heroine roles in movies and serials. She was known for her character as a customary mother in the popular Tamil drama serial, Metti Oli. Shanthi was awarded the Best Actress in a Negative Role for her performance in S. Kumaran’s Tamil Serial, Thendral. The award was given by veteran Director K. Balachander for her role as the mother of Tamizh (played by Deepak Dinkar). She also got her fame after doing the role of Angayarkanni on Sun TV’s Vani Rani. She played Vani and Rani’s mother-in-law. Shanthi was married to Malayalam cameraman, J. Williams in 1979. But the latter passed away in 2005. The couple has four children.

Shanthi has acted in dozens of serials and more than 20 films. She has played supporting roles as a mother or mother-in-law in many movies and portrayed lead negative roles in many TV serials fetching her praises from across the industry. Shanthi started acting in 1970 with the film, Vietnam Veedu. Then, she played as Pallavi in the 1980 psychological thriller film Moodu Pani. She appeared as a friend of Rekha who was forced to prostitution. After many years, Shanthi appeared in many films like Gentleman in 1993, Gentle Man Security in 1994, Karuppu Nila in 1995, Kizhakku Mugam and Poove Unakkaga in 1996, Aahaa Enna Porutham in 1997, Sollamale and Kaadhale Nimmadhi in 1998, followed by the Tamil comedy film, Suyamvaram in 1999.

She was also in the Tamil films Vaanavil and Unakkaga Mattum. Shanthi portrayed mostly the roles of a mother and a grandmother in films like Manadhai Thirudivittai, Lovely, Roja Kootam, Anniyan, Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal and Climax. Recently, she did the film, Amma Ammamma, a story about Sampath and Saranya, who never have a baby of their own after being married for 15 years. Until they met the couple, Anand, and Devadarshini, and the latter died after giving birth to their second child. Shanthi also started on doing television serials in 1999. She played the role of Padmavathi in Radaan Productions’ Chithi followed by the popular Metti Oli and Annamalai.

She was also a part of the popular teleserial Arasi as Chandramathi, the mother of Arasi (played by Raadhika Sarathkumar). She also appeared in serials like Thangam, Pillai Nila, Shanthi Nilayam, Vasantham, Thangamana Purushan, Simran Thirai, Raja Rajeshwari, Kalasam, Bandham and much more. Shanthi was also seen in Amrita’s Innalathe Tharam. Recently, Shanthi also made a guest appearance on ‘Celebrity Kitchen’ along with actress Shri Durga.

Deepa Venkat is a Tamil film and a TV actress who first started her career as a child artiste in the movie ‘Paasamalargal’ alongside Arvind Swamy, Revathy, and Ajith. She then continued to play in small roles before starting to move into a different role of a voice artist. She has played roles in over 70 Television serials and has dubbed for many top actresses of the industry like Devayani, Simran, Sneha, Vidya Balan, Anushka Shetty, Navya Nair, Kangana Ranaut, etc. In addition to voicing stars in movies, she has also lent her voice to animated TV cartoons like ‘Chip n’ Dale’ and ‘Gum-my Bears’ in the Tamil dubbing of these shows.  She has forayed into TV serials by chance when she was at the school itself and started off at ‘Kavithalaya Productions’ and she often says her acting and dubbing prowess are where they are today because of the kind of foundation 'Kavithalaya' provided. Shruthi Raj

Shruthi Raj is a young television serial and film actress who plays pivotal roles in Tamil serials ‘Thendral’ and ‘Office’. She has also acted in a few Tamil films including ‘Kadhal Dot Com’ in 2004 and ‘Jerry’ in 2006. She made her debut in Malayalam first, alongside Khushboo and Mammootty. This was after Srilatha, a Malayalam comedy actress thought she would be a right fit for acting and circulated Shruti Raj’s photos and by chance, Shruti’s photos reached Malayalam director George. K, who was incidentally on a hunt for a new actress who could play a teenage girl in his film ‘Elavangodu Desam’. Post this she starred in ‘Udayapuram Sulthan’ which had Dilip and Preetha Vijayakumar in lead roles. At the same time, Tollywood director EVV Satyanarayana helped her clinch a role in the Telugu film industry and she acted in her first Telugu film ‘Veedekkadi Mogudandi’ alongside Venu in the lead role. She followed this up with ‘O ChinaDaana’ which she acted opposite Srikanth which ran for more than 100 days in the theatres. She also acted in a Telugu TV serial in the lead role as Sravani in ‘Sravani Subramanyam'. Shruthi Raj is a South Indian movie/TV serial actress who is known for her character of Thulasi in the Tamil serial ‘Thendral’ and her role in ‘Office.' She initially acted in a few Malayalam movies before entering the Tamil film industry. She also did a few Telugu movies before acting full-fledged in serials. Shruthi was born in Kerala. Her entry into movies is a comical incident. Srilata, a veteran Malayalam comedy actress passed her photo (she was still at school then) to director K.George who made her act alongside Mammootty and Khushboo in ‘Elavangodu Desam’. After her schooling, she co-starred in ‘Udhayapuram Sulthan’ and ‘Priyam’. At the same time, she also entered the Telugu market through the films ‘Veedekkadi Mogudandi’ and ‘O ChinaDaana’. Shruthi co-starred as Vijay’s college mate in the movie ‘Maanbumigu Maanavan’ in the year 1996. After quite a decade, her single lead release was ‘Kadhal dot com’. She went on to do lead roles in ‘Manthiran’ and ‘Jerry’. However, none of her movies shined at the box office and she went unnoticed on account of it. She turned her attention towards the small-screen and she appeared as the lead character Thulasi in the Tamil hit serial ‘Thendral’. This went on to be the longest serial in Sun TV history with a whopping 1149 episodes. She now stars in Vijay TV’s ‘Office’ through which she has got much popularity than before.
