Mohan Lal is the Super Star of the Malayalam film industry. He is the Son in Law of a famous producer cum veteran actor Balaji. Mohan Lal is married to Suchithra, the elder daughter of Balaji. Mohan Lal was born in the year 1960 in Elanthoor in Kerala. He is very popular for his natural acting and simplicity. The first movie, he committed was Thiranottam, but the first to release was Manjil Virinja Pookal. This movie had Poornima Jayaram as his pair and that is the debut movie in Malayalam for her too. Rajavinte Makan was the movie that made him to reach super heights. Mohan Lal is not choosey in particular character; but he acts in all types of film that give him a good performance scope.

Till now he did not show him as a Super Star. His humbleness is respected by the whole film industry and that is why he remains as a Super Star, even after generations. Apart from Malayalam films, Mohan Lal has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. People of Kerala call him Lal Ettan, which means brother. He has been honored by the Army of India as the Lieutenant Colonel. He is the winner of National Awards for four times and has also bagged state awards from Kerala and Tamilnadu Governments. Mohan Lal has two children, Pranav and Vismaya. Pranav is also an actor in Malayalam films.

In 2020, Mohanlal was seen in Big Brother, which also featured Arbaaz Khan. In 2021, Mohanlal worked in “Drishyam 2,” directed by Jeethu Joseph. The same year, he was seen in Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. In 2022, he played in Bro Daddy with Prithviraj Sukumaran. The same year, he was seen in Aaraattu, 12^th Man, and Monster. In 2023, Mohanlal played a cameo in “Jailer” with Superstar “Rajinikanth” and Shiva Rajkumar. Alone and Neru are some of his movies in 2023.

In 2024, he played the lead in Malaikottai Vaaliban and Barroz 3D. In 2025, he was seen in a cameo role in “Kannaappa” with Vishnu Manchu. The same year, he played in L2: Empuraan and “Thudarum” with Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai. “Hridayapoorvam,” directed by Sathyan Anthikad and “Vrusshabha,” directed by Nanda Kishore, are some of his releases in the same year. In 2025, Mohanlal hosted the reality game show, “Bigg Boss Season 7.” Drishyam 3 and Patriot are his 2026 releases. Ram with Trisha Krishnan is his delayed movie, directed by Jeethu Joseph.
