According to the latest reports, the mystery thriller Maargan, which will be directed by editor Leo John Paul Leo John Paul is a film technician in the field of >> Read More... in his debut directorial, will release on June 27, a week later than Dhanush’s multilingual venture Kuberaa, which will be directed by Sekhar Kammula.

Vijay Antony has been going through a rough patch since 2021. His last major commercial success was Kodiyil Oruvan, which released in 2021. Since then, the actor hasn’t witnessed a single commercial success, and some of his films are facing delays at the box office. The only exception was his own directorial Romeo, which released last year, and turned out to be an average grosser.

Vijay Antony had previously locked horns with filmmaker Sudha Kongara over the title claim of Parashakthi, his next venture. Sudha Kongara is making a film with the same name, which stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela etc. in prominent roles, and is based on the anti Hindi movement that was prominent in Tamil Nadu in the late 60s.

However, Vijay Antony was already working on an action drama with the same title. Though he protested initially, he ultimately settled for a different title, Shakthi Thirumagan.
