Ranjith is a popular and veteran character role artiste who appears in Tamil serials and movies and also in Malayalam serials and movies. He is famous for his character roles which usually bears a slight touch of humor and comic sense. His real name is Shivaji Rao but has taken the screen name of Ranjith as according to the actor it suits with an actor’s image. He originally hails from Kerala born to a Tamil family, joined an acting course after completing his studies and made her acting debut in the year 1993 with Tamil film Pon Vilangu in a small character role.  After his debut, Ranjith went on to appear in many Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies before shifting his base towards the Tamil television serials. He went on to appear in more than 25 Tamil television serials in mostly comical roles and in some, he also appeared as an antagonist playing out and out villainous roles. Ponvannan Tamil Actor


Ponvannan is a popular and leading Tamil actor who is predominantly a Tamil film actor but has also appeared in Tamil television shows as an actor, producer, scriptwriter and director. He can be considered as a multitalented and multifaceted personality. In personal life, actor Ponvannan is married to his fellow actress and co-star Saranya Ponvannan who is also an acclaimed artiste in her own right.  Born on January 12, 1952, in Tamilnadu, India, Ponvannan has been active in the Tamil film and television circuit since the year 1989 and continue to mesmerize the audiences till today with his strong acting skills. He was seen a few years back appearing on the hit and popular Tamil comedy television show Veettukku Veedu Lootty alongside with his wife Saranya. The television serial mainly dealt with the day to day life events of a middle aged Tamil couple. The serial was of comedy genre and became hugely popular and successful among the audiences. Prior to becoming an acclaimed character role actor, Ponvannan worked as a writer and is also an avid painter who dreamt of opening a painting institute or painting school near his hometown in Tamilnadu Erode. But destiny had something else stored for him. Ponvannan accidentally landed up in writing script for one of the Tamil film and on that film’s set, the assistant director of the film offered him a small supporting character role. From then on, gradually acting offers started pouring in for him and Ponvannan gladly accepted those offers. Apart from acting in Tamil television shows and films he's also an’ acclaimed director, script and dialogue writer and is best known as the director of the blockbuster Tamil film Jamila.



Actor Shiva started his career as a Radio Jockey. He appeared in the film 12B as a guest actor. Later he made his debut through Chennai 28, a film by Venkat Prabhu. Venkat Prabhu also made his directorial debut through the same film. Shiva’s next commitment was again with Venkat Prabhu in Saroja, a comedy thriller movie. Both these films were super duper hit and Shiva became popular among the audiences in Tamilnadu. Then he committed in Tamil Padam, a comedy movie which makes fun of the Tamil films. Though the film was criticized for its story, it gave a good name to Shiva and the team. Shiva acted in Kalakalappu along with Vimal and Thillu Mullu with Prakash Raj. He acted as a dubbing artist in his next film Sonna Puriyathu, in which he sang a song too. This film Sonna Puriyathu has one more specialty that it made Shiva a lyricist too. Yes, Shiva wrote the lyric of the song Rosa hai, which he sang. He also showed another face as a dialogue writer in the film, Aadama Jaichomada. Shiva acted with the comedy hero Santhanam in Ya Ya, which went on average. Priya Anand was paired with Shiva in Vanakkam Chennai, which was the debut movie of actor Udhayanidhi Stalin’s wife Kiruthiga. Many critics have positively criticized Shiva that no other actor has guts to make fun of other actors and cinema industry, as Shiva. Shiva is still on committing more good films that suit him.   Another Version Born to Sundaram and Nirmala Sundaram, Shiva is the Tamil film actor who had gained fame by being a radio jockey on Radio Mirchi. He mostly does comic roles in movies at present. In the year 2001, he came with his debut film in which he did a cameo. The name of the picture was 12B. He just had a little role in it of a radio jockey.  Six years later, Shiva was offered the role of a  lead actor. In the year 2007, came the movie Chennai 60028 which was a sports comedy and was directed by Venkat Prabhu. It was a multi-starred movie in which there were ten more debut actors other than Shiva. The picture was a box-office blockbuster. In the very next thriller film Saroja, he played a thrilling role, and the film was again a super hit. With just two movies and he earned recognition in the Tamil cinema. He also received awards for these movies. Both were under Venkat Prabhu’s direction.  Shiva then acted in Thamizh Padam, which acclaimed rave reviews from critics and audience. He was admired by people for his comic roles. To show his versatility, he did a romantic drama as well, named Pathinaaru. Pathinaaru was his first film to be a non-comedy venture. People liked him in it but not as much as they liked him in comic roles. The movie was an average grosser.  Shiva again came back to comedy and started with his next project. The film was Siva Poojaiyil Karadi, which got restricted to get released. He continued with comic projects and in the year 2012, he featured in Kalakalappu directed by Sundar C. The film gained positive reviews and was an above average grosser. Shiva played the role of Raghu and won the hearts of audience and critics. There were words that Shiva was the scene stealer in the film and carried the entire movie on his own.  On 15th November 2012, Shiva married his girlfriend Priya who was a former badminton player of National level. Back to back, he did comedies like Thillu Mullu, which fared well. People adored Shiva for his perfect comedy timing and one liners. Movies like Sonna Puriyathu, “Ya Ya”, made him unbeatable in comedy and top actors, and news reporters praised him now and then. Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi selected Shiva, opposite to Priya Anand, for her directorial debut and made the picture Vanakkam Chennai, which was a romantic musical film. It received mixed views but was successful commercially.
