Sivakarthikeyan is a stand-up comedian, actor, and an anchor born on 17th February 1985 in Singampunari, Tamil Nadu. He was born to an Engineer father and has a sister who is a doctor. He was in Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School in his school years and graduated from JJ College of Engineering and Technology and holds a degree in B.E. Later. he went on to do MBA from Indian Institute of Planning and Management Chennai. He was participative in his college in theatre and stand-up comedy. It was the gap he had between his engineering and MBA he participated in a Star Vijay reality show, Kalakku Povathu Yaaru after he was forced by his friends and eventually won the show.

He saw the first light of the world in the beautiful city of Singampunari. His father served the nation as a police officer. His sister opted to serve as a doctor at Tiruchirappalli. He successfully completed his schooling from Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School situated at Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. The school started in 1924 for boys. The school got its name from patron saint, St. Edmund Campion. Further, he moved on to engineering and took his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in Tiruchirapalli from J J College of Engineering and Technology (JJCET). The college started in 1994-1995 in Ammapettai Village touching the National Highway 45. The College provided eight Under-Graduate courses and eight Postgraduate courses in Engineering along with Masters in Business Administrations. He didn’t stop after engineering and further opted for MBA and completed it from the renowned college in Chennai The Indian Institute of Planning & Management (IIPM).The College was established in 1973, opening 18 branches all over the country. He tied the knot on 27th August 2010 with Aarathi and their girl child was born on 22nd October 2013.
Apart from taking part in cultural events, he also took interest in performing mimicry and as a stand-up comedian on stage. In a gap of 3 months break in his engineering studies and starting of MBA his friends tried their level best to enter the auditions of a comedy reality shows that telecasted on Vijay TV, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru. Siva hosted the show for two years. In each game of the show there were three rounds and each participant starts the game with 100 points and in the end, the participants having most points in their kitty wins the game. The show mostly aimed at promoting the movie on air. Carrying on with his work as a host, he contributed his time to promotional films along with the Vijay Awards. The year 2013 came out to be lucky for him for his three commercial films that successfully kept on running in theaters for 100 days. Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga was the release with him in the cast and was shot in his hometown Tiruchirappalli. The film brought out the hidden acting skills thriving in him.
