Producer Skips Celebrations For Madharaasi

Madharaasi has once again invited the attention of media, but for different reasons.

The director of the movie AR Murugadoss organized a party for the apparent success of the movie, with Sivakarthikeyan, the lead actor, and Anirudh Ravichander, the lead music composer by his side.

However, the ‘success party’ wasn’t attended by the producers of this movie, which makes everyone wonder if everything is okay.

If we go by figures, Madharaasi was made on a rather high budget of 180 crores. For the movie to be called just an average grosser, it needed a domestic collection of more than 200 crores. However, even with overseas collections, the total comes around 100 crores, which is significantly less than the budget. This was the same reason why despite the promotional posters claiming GOAT : The Greatest of All Time to be a box office success, the movie was far from it.

Madharaasi starred Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, and Biju Menon in the lead roles. The movie also marked the return of Vidyut Jammwal to Tamil cinemas as the main antagonist.
