In a recent interview, the actor mentioned that there was no dispute with the makers of Parasakthi, as rumored by media reports. He wanted to register the title originally held by the AVM Studios for the 1952 movie, but couldn’t succeed. Ultimately, Sudha Kongara and Sivakarthikeyan won the claim to the title.

Vijay Antony is currently working on another political drama which will now be known as Shakthi Thirumagan. The movie is expected to be released next year. On the other hand,  Parasakthi is a social drama which will clash officially with Jana Nayagan on the occasion of Pongal next year, alongside the Telugu horror comedy The Raja Saab, which stars Prabhas in the lead role.
