Her father, Fausto Xavier Aguilera is an Ecuadorian and is an Army Soldier in the US and her mother, Shelly Loraine is a German musician. Due to her father’s services her family constantly shifted from Japan, New Jersey, etc. Christina used music as an escape route from her father’s abusive nature. She began living with her grandmother in Pennsylvania since her parents got divorced.
