On 18th December 1980, Christina Aguilera was born on Staten Island, a city in
. She is an American singer and songwriter and also a record producer. Her father, Fausto Xavier Aguilera is an Ecuadorian and is an Army Soldier in the US and her mother, Shelly Loraine is a German musician. Due to her father’s services her family constantly shifted from Japan, New Jersey, etc. Christina used music as an escape route from her father’s abusive nature. She began living with her grandmother in Pennsylvania since her parents got divorced.
She showed interest in singing and was popularly known as “the little girl with the big voice.” At the age of 8, she won her first talent show and then there was no looking back for Christina. She was a part of Walt Disney’s television series “The Mickey Mouse Club” from where she became famous. Her career has been similar to a roller-coaster ride. Her debut in 1999 marked three top singles in the US Billboard 100 produced by her. Her albums released in 2000 “Mi Rafe go” and “My Kind of Christmas” entered the Billboard 200 in the top thirties.

She is not only a music sensation, but she is also involved in charitable works through human rights. UN recognizes her as the Ambassador for World Food Programme.
