He was brought up as a Jewish and has a brother named Josh. He is a graduate of Ethical Culture Fieldston School in the year 1995. He started his career in his early sixteen. He did his bachelor's degree from the Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business in the field of business management. He worked as an intern for many recording studios in the New York City. During his school days, he used to record American Sector Recording Studio with local artists.

In 2002, he migrated to Los Angeles, where he established his own Management Company.  He has even served as a consultant for Universal Pictures for the tracks of the famous “Bad Boys 2”, and “UMG”.

He got married to Christina Aguilera. The two met in 2002 and dated for four long years.  After their 4-year courtship the two got married in 2005 in California. Things were well between the two and the couple even had a son named Max Liron who was born in 2008. In 2010, there were various reports of the two facing problems in their married life and the two have been separated.  

In 2010, they confirmed about their separation and his ex-wife Christina Aguilera filed for a divorce case. Their split was highly anticipated by the media. However, both of them remained quite on the whole incident. It was in late 2010 when the Christina opened up about the issue in an interview with People. She reported that the two had different opinions and aren’t right for each other and things could not be achieved between us. Though in the whole interview, she did not say anything thing which was disrespectful to Jordan but she tried to put forth her point of view to the media about their relationship and divorce.
