Carrie Underwood

Carrie Marie Underwood is a young and beautiful actress and singer of American origin. She even writes songs. She was born in Muskogee in the United States of America, and she is the third child of Stephen Underwood and Carole. Her mother was a teacher and her father was a worker. Stephanie and Shanna are her sisters. Carrie had an interest in singing since her childhood. She often performed at the talent show of Robbins Memorial and sang prayers at the Baptist Church. When she was a teenager, she auditioned for Capitol Records, which was a Universal Music Group. They signed a contract with her, but due to change of management, things didn’t work out. She studied at the Checotah High School and was interested in sports as well. She graduated in the year 2006 with specialization in journalism and mass communication. After that, she did many small jobs like working as a nurse in a veterinary clinic, working at a zoo, etc. In 2004, she was the runner-up of a beauty pageant, Miss NSU. 

She achieved fame through the show, 'American Idol’, in the year 2004. When she sang one of the Tiffany's songs, a judge remarked that she would go a long way in the show and would become a favorite of all. She was a complete performer and used to top the voting chart every week. She released the song, Inside your Heaven, on 14th June, 2005, which was a breakthrough for her. It struck the number one position on the charts. Her song album, Some Hearts, came out on 15th November, 2005, and around three lakh copies were sold back to back. Hollywood witnessed this for the first time, as no album before has earned such a big sale in just a week. Her album became the best debut album.

She is also an actress and appeared on the famous romantic-drama, How I Met Your Mother, in the year 2010. She married a hockey player, Mike Fisher, in the year 2009.
