Zachary Coffin, a.k.a, Zack Coffin is a versatile actor who has worked in Bollywood, Hollywood, Kollywood films and has also acted in some of the hit TV shows and webseries. Other than acting, he has also displayed his skills in writing. Born in 1968, Zack is 48 years old. He has dual citizenship of Canada and USA. He has studied at Stella Adler Acting Academy, New York. He learned to be a master screenwriter from Columbia University. He studied film production at a Summer Program of Sight and Sound at New York University and received a Masters degree in Fine Arts from the University of Southern California and learned direction in Cinema and Television.
Zack made his first mark in the field of acting in the 2007 drama “A Mighty Heart”, which starred
. He played the role of Matt MacDowell. A little-known fact is that before landing this role, Zack was also present in the credits of the 1997 romance film “Simple Gifts”, where Zack had taken on the responsibility of the First Assistant Director. He was also the uncredited Associate Producer and Writer for the same. Once he was identified as one of the actors who can carry off intense and powerful roles, many similar offers made their way to Zack, which slowly paved the way for his entry into Bollywood.

, who searches for her father in the aftermath of gas spill tragedy of an industry that her father controlled. Although the film did not achieve commercial success, it established Zack as a gifted writer. He finally created a niche for himself in 2014 in the Bollywood movie “Mary Kom” where he played the character of the German Coach. It was this very part that brought him under the public eye.
In 2015, Zack played a minor role in the British-American comedy “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” which was a sequel to the 2011 hit “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”. Even though he played a minor part as an American tourist, he once again managed to give a lasting performance. Later, in the same year, Zack appeared in Bollywood satirical comedy “Bangistan” as Stanislav the Cop, but unfortunately, the film did not fare very well at the Box-office. He played one of the slain journalists in the romantic drama “Hamari Adhuri Kahani”.
2016 was a key year for Zack where he appeared in a number movies. A Tamil horror-comedy titled “Jackson Durai” had Zack as Jackson, one of the leading characters in the film. In the comedy “Housefull 3” he was a British Football coach. In Shah Rukh Khan’s action, drama and thriller movie “Fan” he played a Jail Inmate. In the comedy “Mastizaade” he is an announcer.
He has also had minor parts in “Peddlers” (2012), ‘Tigers’ (2014), Crazy Cukkad Family (2015) and ‘Brothers’ (2015). He has also appeared on TVF. Other than films, Zack also acts in shows like “Maha Kumbh” (Life OK), “The Trip” (Bindaas) and “Shapath: Super Cops Vs. Super Villains” (Star India). He currently resides in Mumbai and is enjoying making India his home.
