The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Teasers, Trailers, Video & Songs

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a British comedy and a sequel to the hit film ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ of 2012. Most of the actors of the first feature including Bill Nighy, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Dev Patel and much more reprise their roles along with some fresh new cast. Unlike usual sequels that fail to impress and surprise as the first of the series, this one holds its own and offers just as much excitement as its predecessor.

From the trailer, it’s obvious that the film explores further into the Indian culture. The upbeat soundtrack, the return of an incredible ensemble of actors, and the vibrant colors all promises to be an engaging story to see. The jokes are subtle and poignant with better character development than the first movie. The trailer pumps you up for the film with a spirited Bollywood number and some jolly dance sequences. The marriage of Sonny with Sunaina gives an opportunity to educate the masses on the cultures and traditions of India from another’s perspective.

The movie’s reception at the Box Office was more than expected. It topped the UK Box Office and continued to do so for three weeks and grossed 86 million against its 10 million budget. The storyline was amusing and remarkable in its execution regarding the cinematography, the screenplay, and the acting.
