Ed Metzger is an American playwright and an actor known for his character roles in the movies such as Dr. Albert Einstein in 'Watchmen' and 'Joe’s Rotten World', and Teddy Roosevelt in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. Metzger, in his live one-man shows, has also portrayed Albert Einstein in 'Albert Einstein: The Practical Bohemian' and Ernst Hemingway in 'Hemingway: On the Edge', for more than three decades.

Metzger pursued his graduation at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Later on, for five years, Metzger undertook drama and theatre acting with Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio, New York. Metzger’s portrayal of Albert Einstein in his one-man show stage play involves an Einstein’s point of view of the Holocaust, his Theory of Relativity, his mannerisms, and idiosyncrasies. Metzger’s is the only play that has been endorsed throughout the years by the Einstein family, and they have publicly stated that it’s hard to tell the difference between Metzger’s and Albert’s behaviour.
