The Polish/Germany film director was born in Lublin, Poland. In his childhood only, he and his parents moved to Solingen in Germany, so he grew up in Solingen. He states that he is a Polish at heart by birth but due to being raised in Germany, he could also feel the culture of Germany. His parents taught him Polish, and he can speak it very fluently. After completing his schooling, he graduated from Robert Schumann Hochschule in Audio-Visual Engineering. He got his Post Graduation degree from Film Academy Baden-Wurttemberg/ Ludwigsburg.
He also has a diploma in learning classical piano. He kicked off his career as a music video director and then started taking up work with major clients like Nike, Nivea, RWE, Red Cross and Mercedes-Benz. He won multiple accolades like the Young Director Award at Cannes in the years 2008 and 2009, and in 2010 the New York Festival Gold Award and Art Director Club Award.
In 2011 also, he won the Art Director Club Award. In 2015, he directed the German-American-British action thriller film, Hitman: Agent 47. The screenplay was by
and Michael Flinch. It was based on the Hitman video game series. Stars like
, Angelababy and Thomas Kretschmann can be seen in the movie. The movie was released on August 21, 2015, by 20th Century Fox.
It was the first ever Hollywood movie which was shot in Singapore. In 2015, Lionsgate hired Bach to direct an alien invasion film called ‘Revoc’. Joe Robert Cole wrote the script of the movie.
