, she won the Audience Award at Sundance Film Festival. She studied Comparative Literature and got a B.A. degree from Northwestern University. After that, she did an MFA in film direction from Tisch School of Arts, New York University after getting an MA from the University of Michigan in Near Eastern Studies.
Keshavaraz’s work on her latest film project impressed the critics so much that she was honored with KRF Screenwriting Award by the San Francisco FiIm Society and the Hearst Screenwriters Grant. It was recently revealed that she has been asked to work on the HBO documentary ‘Hot Coffee.
