Ciaran Hinds

Ciaran Hinds is an Irish television, film and stage actor. He has given notable performances in movies like -Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Road to Perdition, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Woman in Black, The Phantom of the Opera, Munich, and Frozen. He has even been a part of television series like Rome by Gaius Julius Caesar Political Animals by Bud Hammond. He has been a part of the Game of series for which he won the Emmy Award. He has been a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Glasgow Citizens' Theatre and Royal National Theatre for stage shows. He was born in Northern Ireland. His father was a doctor, and his mother worked as a schoolteacher. He was the only son of the couple in five children. He went to Holy Family Primary School and did his graduation from St. Malachy's College. He went to Queen's University and studied law in Belfast. But soon left his studies and pursued his acting career and went to Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He has been a part of various theater groups like the Royal Shakespeare Company, Glasgow Citizens' Theatre and Royal National Theatre. He has even worked in many television dramas. He made a debut with Persuasion, which was based on a novel by Jane Austen. His other filmography includes Veronica Guerin, His Wife & Her Lover, The Sum of All Fears, Oscar and Lucinda, The Cook, and Munich. In 2006, he made an appearance in the television series Rome, aired on BBC/HBO in the character of Gaius Julius Caesar. He is known for his work in series like Hostages, in 1993, Broken Morning in 2003 and The Mayor of Casterbridge in 2004 for which he was acknowledged with Irish Film and Television Award in the category of Best Actor in a Dramatic Series. In 2003, He was a part of the Game of Thrones series for which he won the Emmy Award. He received the Audie Award for Best Audio Drama Performance for his audio production in The Complete Arkangel Shakespeare. Currently, the actor resides in Paris with his long-time girlfriend Hélène Patarot. They both had met on the sets of The Mahabharata by Peter Brook's production. They both have a daughter Aoife.
