John R. Leonetti

John Robert Leonetti was born on 4 July 1956 in California, USA. His birth name is John Robert Leonetti. He is a well-known cinematographer and film director. His elder brother is Matthew F. Leonetti, who was the cinematographer for his first feature film "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" and a member of the American Society of Cinematographer.

Matthew was born on 31 July 1941 and is 15 years older than John. He is best known for his work on "2 Fast 2 Furious" in 2003,"The Butterfly Effect" and "Dawn of the Dead" in 2004.Matthew Leonetti Jr. is his nephew. In his teenage, John started his career by working in his family's motion picture equipment business started by his father. Frank Leonetti was well-known for his gaffing work on films such as "The Wizard of Oz" and "Singing in the Rain". Since 2003, John is also a member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). He has worked with director James Wan as a cinematographer in five films.

He earned appreciation for his works in "The Mask" in 1994,"Insidious" in 2010 and " The Conjuring Click to look into! >> Read More... " in 2013. John R. Leonetti directed the American horror movie "Annabelle" which was a blockbuster hit in 2004. It is a prequel to "The Conjuring". Annabelle is based on a true story where two roomies claimed that their doll possessed the spirit of a young girl named Annabelle Higgins.

This incident took place back in 1970. After the incident, it was put on display at the "Occult Museum" in Monroe, Connecticut by Ed and Lauren Warren. James Wan produced the movie. John and James reported having experienced the presence of supernatural powers and activities on the sets of "Annabelle." The film shooting continued for several days in an apartment in South Normandie Avenue of LA County along with 55 crew members.

The real Annabelle doll is said to get blessed by a priest twice a month after the scary experiences on the sets. John R. Leonetti and James Wan also worked previously in killer doll films such as "Child's Play 3" and "Dead Silence" respectively.
