Haris Zambarloukos was born on 11th of March in 1970. His birthplace is located in Nicosia in Cyprus. He is a cinematographer by profession. Haris belongs to Cypriot nationality. He has done work in some big budget and blockbuster films in his career. Haris is famous for his contributions to films like Thor in 2011, Venus in 2006, Sleuth in 2007, and much more. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. He graduated from the Central S. Martin’s College of Art and Design.
The college is located in London city. Haris obtained his Master’s Degree in Cinematography. He than obtained his Master’s degree from the American Film Institute. He graduated with this degree in the year 1997. Haris worked under the direction of C. Hall in the film A Civil Action as an intern in the camera department. The film was released in 1998. The movie Camera Obscura in the year 2000 marked the debut of Haris in Hollywood as a professional cinematographer.
He has featured in the top ten list of Cinematographers in Hollywood in 2006 in a famous magazine. The film Sleuth, released in 2007, is his first work as a collaboration. He collaborated with the director K. Branagh. The film starred actor M. Claine. He again collaborated with the same director in the year 2011 for the legendary Marvel superhero movie titled Thor. Haris is a member of the Council of Administrators, which is a part of the British Society of Cinematographers.
After his debut film in 2000, his second film was Mr. In-Between which released in the year 2001. His next film was Spivs released in the year 2004. In the same year, he was the cinematographer of the film Enduring Love. In 2005, The Best Man released. Then the film Venus was released in 2006. In 2007, Sleuth released, which is one of the best movies that he has worked in as a cinematographer. In 2008, Mamma-mia released, and it received worldwide appreciations.
After a gap of 3 years, in 2011, he released Thor. Thor, starring Chris Hemsworth A “heartthrob” and total madness of women from “do >> Read More... , is one of the superhero editions of Marvel Comics. This film was a blockbuster in 2011, and Haris got very famous overnight. In the year 2016, Haris was the cinematographer of the film Denial which received an amazing response from the audiences. In 2017, he is currently working on the film Murder On the Orient Express and this movie is scheduled to be released later this year
