Plot
An exquisite box, the Dybbuk box which belongs to a man is kept in an antique store after his death. Once, a man tries to steal that box, but a spirit comes out from that box and kills the man. Later a woman named Priya Raghuram buys the box who newly shifted to a new house with her husband, Ranjan Mathew who is the owner of a chemical factory. The chemical factory contains the disposal of radioactive chemicals.
Later, at her home, the woman opens that box and finds out that it is filled with hair, wine/perfume a doll with needles in it, and what not, immediately a spirit comes out of that box and goes into that woman’s body, she realizes that there is something wrong and sees that spirit around her house. what should she do now? What will happen next? Will Ranjan be able to protect his wife and himself? Or will he have to face any consequences? The rest of the story showcases this.
Star performance
Prithviraj Sukumaran did an outstanding job. His role has too many emotions which he is displaying, and all his expressions look natural. Priya Anand is smooth in her acting, she keeps the audience engaged and in suspense about how she will act next. Sudev Nair has done fantabulous acting, in every role he plays in the film, even in the scenes of him as a ghost it seems realistic. Bharat Dabholkar also appears realistic in his acting; he has done terrific acting in every scene and his character gave so much power to the movie. Tovino Thomas,

(2012). The director of the film Jay K. has done a wonderful job in his debut in directing this film. The suspense, thrill, and intense horror make the film a must-watch. The screenwriting done by Manu Gopal and Jay K. is very engaging and admirable, and the storyline is amazing and unique. The music given by Rahul Raj and Sushin Shyam is good and appealing. Later a Hindi Bollywood remake was released named “Dybbuk” starring Emraan Hashmi.

Verdict
A horror film with a mix of drama, suspense, and thrill and a unique story. It also showcases the history of Jews who were once living in Kerala, which draws out the feeling of viewers describing discrimination and the caste system spoiling people’s relationships. Moreover, the whole movie is very engaging and interesting, giving a fearful and trembling effect. Try watching it, you will love this film.
