In the Indian film industry, A. V. Gokuldas works as a production designer (Art Director). Three times he has won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Production Design. He received international acclaim for his work in Kammatipaadam. He has established himself as the state's most renowned art director throughout the years. Gokuldas was born in Kerala and went to Ambalapuram School and Aryampadam Sarvodaya High School for his education. He earned his bachelor's degree in fine arts from the Thrissur College of Fine Arts. After completing his fine arts diploma at the Government College of Fine Arts in Thrissur, he was offered the opportunity to do the art direction for R. Sarath's film Sayahnam, which earned him his first Kerala State Award Best Art Direction in 2000. Before pursuing a career as an art director, he began assisting well-known art directors
