This will be Dulquer’s first movie in Malayalam after King of Kotha, which had released in 2023. It’s been a while since Dulquer has succeeded on home turf. His last successful movie in Malayalam was Kurup, based on the criminal of the same name.

Despite releasing in restricted conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was a surprise hit when it released in 2021. Sadly, this was Dulquer’s last successful movie in Malayalam, since his subsequent releases, King of Kotha and Salute, failed to achieve success at the box office.

However, Dulquer more than made up for the same with his successful ventures in Tollywood. He starred in Sita Ramam and Lucky Baskhar, which released in 2022 and 2024 respectively. Both of the ventures were not only commercially successful, but also impressed the critics. His OTT debut in Hindi, Guns and Gulaabs, was also positively received by the masses on its release in Netflix.
