Plot
Stephen is a road contractor who visits a hilly village located in Idukki for construction work. The area has less population, and the houses are not closely located. Ammini lives with her child in that hilly village. Stephen’s investigation of something brings to the limelight some truths. What is his connection with Ammini and her child? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Dileesh Pothan is good in his role. His mature performance fit the character well and projected him on a good note. Devadarshini is excellent in her character. She is so natural, and in the emotional scenes, she excels. Jaffer, Maala Parvathi, and Meera Vasudevan appeared in small roles, yet their performances were neat.
Analysis
The film has various genres and themes, including an investigation segment, surrogacy, and motherhood. There are some emotional scenes between a mother and her child. The investigation scenes are interesting. However, some scenes lack depth, and some stars are not properly utilized. Some dramatic moments move as the story flows, but we feel them unnecessary after the mystery is revealed. If the screenplay is fast-paced, those minus points may have vanished. The BGM is decent, and the songs are good. The visuals are fantastic, and the night shots have neat lighting.
