Plot
Sudevan and his wife are murdered, and their elder son goes missing from the Manakkal Tharavad. Avani, their daughter, is raised by a doctor. Their peace is again shattered by another murder in the same Tharavad. To investigate the case, CI Sathya enters the area. He started investigating the murders that happened years ago. The buried truth comes to light slowly and everyone is shocked. Who is the murderer, and what’s the motive? The rest of the film follows this.
Star Performance
Shine Tom Chacko is impressive in the role of CI Sathya. His dialogue delivery and body language are good. Manikuttan delivered a subtle performance. Diana is decent in her debut. Thalaivasal Vijay, Sudheer Karamana, and Rajendran are adequate in their roles.
Analysis
The script is neat and the screenplay is decent. Yet, the first half could’ve been made at a brisk pace. The writer has slowly transformed the plot from a supernatural genre to a whodunit genre. The visuals are impressive and the lighting plays an important role. The shadow effects make the audience experience the thrill. The BGM blends well with the scenes. The suspenseful and emotional moments are elevated with the BGM. The editing is decent, too.
