Plot

Jack Malik wants to become a songwriter and a singer. After hosting a few shows to his people, he decided to quit. But his manager cum childhood friend Ellie is shocked by his decision. On his way home, Jack meets an accident. All on a sudden, he gets an idea to start his career as a musician. The people forget a lot of bands in the yesteryears and hence Jack wants to make a strong comeback with his songs. Did he succeed in his attempt? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Himesh has done a perfect job and he fits in the role well. He tried a lot to match the character Jack Malik and succeeded in it. Lily James’ expressions are excellent. The rest of the stars had done their part well.

Analysis

The script by Richard and the execution by Danny are perfect. They have designed each and every character perfectly, putting a lot of efforts. This film is a tribute to The Beatles. The transformations and the confusions of the lead character are neatly defined. There are some pleasant surprises in the film with the screenplay and yet, some are predictable. The background score is perfect and it is worth to mention the cinematography.

What’s There?

  • Script and screenplay are good
  • Performances of the lead stars are impressive

What’s Not There?

  • Logical loopholes

Verdict

With the solid performances of the lead stars, the script and the execution get projected. Yesterday is an excellent musical love to be watched once!
