Plot
Due to the Rage Virus outbreak, an infected family attacked a young boy, Jimmy. As his family starts attacking him, he escapes to the nearby church, where he finds his father, who is uninfected. Being a local priest, his father guesses that this would be the deadliest one, and he gives his son, a crucifix necklace, and suggests him to move from there. After 28 years, the survivors live in an island village. A scavenger, Jamie, his wife, Isla, and their son, Spike, are among those survivors. Isla suffers from a disease. Jamie takes his son to hunt to the mainland. There, they encounter the Rage-affected people. They became more intelligent and strong after the infection. What happened next? Will they be affected?
Star Performance
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has done a fantastic job. His character has various emotions, and he delivers everything fine. Jodie Comer is quite excellent in the role of Isla. Alfie Williams excelled as Spike. He is innocent, courageous, and curious.
Analysis
The script and screenplay are quite impressive. Danny Boyle is always good in attracting the audience by giving a good visual experience. After the first few scenes, it misses its pace. Although the screenplay has some brilliance, the narration loses its grip. Also, the horror elements lost the consistency. The film has enough thrills, but it is a regular one, and not unique.

Verdict
The film is neither too good nor bad. It is definitely a one-time watch!
