Plot
Carol Peter’s life changes when the world’s first superintelligence selects her for observation. When the first time her TV, phone, and microwave talk back to her, she thinks she is being played or has completely lost her mind. Now the world depends on her to prove that people are worth saving because the A.I. plans on enslaving or saving the world. It all depends on Carol’s balance.
Star Performance
We’ve seen Melissa McCarthy in many comedic movies before, so all know what to expect from her. She was amazing. The movie has many comedians who did well. One of them was James Corden, who did more of a voice acting for the superintelligence, which was a fantastic concept, but he was just okay for this role.
Analysis
Superintelligence brings a new and fresh concept. The idea of superintelligence with James Corden’s voice was an amazing idea. Carol Peter was selected as the most average person on earth, similarly, the movie as a whole is average. Nothing significantly over the top and nothing very bland. It is not a sci-fi movie in any way, it is just a normal romance movie, which is somewhat a drawback for the movie because it has a good and strong premise, but it falls short because it focuses more on the romance aspect. Also, the movie is slow-paced; the things which should take 2 minutes took 5 minutes, which made the movie boring to some extent.
