Plot
Cats is a film that was inspired by the 1981 musical, Cats. Just as the name implies, the film revolves around a white cat named Victoria who lives in London. The film begins by showing the young cat getting abandoned by her owners in the isolated streets in the middle of the night. Luckily, a group of kind-hearted cats who call themselves “Jellicles” witness this, approach Victoria and introduce themselves to her.The group Jellicles has four members, namely Mr. Mistoffelees, Munkustrap, Cassandra and Demeter. They feel sorry for Victoria and decide to take her under their wing. They introduce her to their annual event where cats gather to compete for the chance to go to the Heavyside Layer, where they will get a better life.
Star Performance
Jennifer Hudson’s performance was memorable.
Analysis
The music is quite catchy, and the film's ambience is great. Apart from that, most of the singing was terrible. The visuals that included CGI and special effects were not very good and were very unpleasant to sit through. On the other hand, the costume that has ears and tails meant to imitate real cats definitely has the look of real cats. The railway scenes were excellent, as were some others. The plot is mainly predictable and the end of the film is terrible. Overall, the film is mostly tedious so the ending really should have come sooner.

Verdict
Overall, this film is not a pleasant experience for most people. However, some musical film lovers or cat lovers might appreciate it.
