Plot
Erin and Abby are two paranormal scientist friends. They wrote a book about paranormal identities years ago. Erin grew older and focused on her career, distancing herself from everyone. Strange supernatural events occur in New York City. Erin gets back with Abby, along with Holtzmann, to investigate the events. A subway worker, Patty, joins the alliance to help them navigate through the city. They encounter an individual using a device to open a portal to the world of spirits. The device also allows him to manipulate spirits to follow his orders. The gang tries to stop this individual by making a device that can detect ghosts.
Star Performance
Kristen as Erin plays a serious and career-oriented woman. She is clumsy and an introvert, as she was hesitant to join Ghostbusters. This film is one of her best performances yet as she seems so relatable audience. Melissa as Abby plays a very energetic and comedic role with her punch lines. Kate as Holtzmann is an intelligent engineer. She is very smart but bad at physical movements; they’re presented as a quirky and funny trait. Leslie, as Patty, is a very noisy and loud but confident woman.
Analysis
The direction with humour does not compete with the original Ghostbusters. Director Paul’s execution and presentation style are different from the OG Ghostbusters. Despite that, this movie is a fun watch with lots of comical scenes to make you laugh. The editing and pacing are the greatest issues with the film. Comedy and thrill do not blend good as the film progresses. Despite having a strong cast and script, the film lacks execution and steady pacing. The music and cinematography were worth praise.

A unique approach to the cult classic Ghostbusters. This film tries to dive into the same plot with a female-only cast, as the original was a male cast. However , plots were predictable and didn’t have any memorable parts. Though worth watching the movie.
