Harini is an Indian playback singer in south Indian cinema. Harini was born on April 30, 1979, in Chennai. She is a noted singer in Tamil cinema with a career spanning two decades. Her singing career started in 1995 with the movie, Indira. She got her first break by singing for A.R. Rahman. In this film Indira, she sang two solo songs, Next year, she also got a chance to sing for a film like Indian and Iruvar. Her first rendering for Deva was in the year 1996 for the film ‘Nerukku Ner’. In the same year, she got a chance to render a solo song for music composer S.A. Rajkumar for the film ‘ Pistha’. Occasionally, she did numbers for composers Karthik Raja, Mani Sharma, Vidyasagar, Bharathwaj, Harris Jayaraj, Yuvan Shankar Raja, M. M. Keeravani, Devi Sri Prasad, D. Imman, Chakri.

Harini apparently took formal training in classical music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan when she was just four years old. Later she took up training from other experts in classical music as Sudha Raghunathan and Suguna Purushotthaman. When she was hardly the age of 13, she got a break in Suhasini Mani Ratnam’s first directorial venture ‘Indira’. She rendered two solo songs in this movie and proved her versatility in singing. This singer used to sing in the school competition and was noticed by A .R. Rahman. Harini rendered voice for all actresses such as Anu Hasan, Manisha Koirala, Aishwarya Rai, Simran, Sushmita Sen, Soundarya, etc.

Her numbers were in the top of the chart as she sang for all big banners. She also sang with noted male playback singers such as Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayanan, S.P. Balasubramanyam, Unnikrishnan, Srinivas, Tippu, K. S. Chitra, Karthik, Devi Sri Prasad, Shankar Mahadevan, etc.

Harini started a new era of melody in South Indian cinema. Most of her duets have been with Hariharan, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, Srinivas, Tippu, Unnikrishnan. Nithyashree, the young music champ was born in Chennai in the year 1999. Her parents are Mr. S. Venkataramanan and Mrs. Lakshmi. Nithya is currently doing her 12th standard in S.B.O.A School in Anna Nagar. Nithyashree’s elder sister, Vhaijaiyanthi Shree was learning the Carnatic music and hence Nithya learnt a lot by listening to her sister’s singing. When Nithyashree turned five, she began to sing in her father’s band. She pursued her Carnatic lessons at the age of 6 from Mrs. Lakshmi Raman. Later, she learnt music from Mrs. Lalgudi Padmavathy Ananthagopalan and Mr. T. S. Venkatraman. Though she is interested in Carnatic music, she is also a passionate towards the light music. While seeing her passion, her parents joined Nithya in a Child Orchestra named “Isai Mottugal”, which was managed by Drums Gopal. When her parents came to know about the Musical Reality Show, “Airtel Super Singer Junior - 2” in Star Vijay TV, they made her to participate in it. She was just 9, when she participated. Malaysia Vasudevan

Malaysia Vasudevan is a playback singer who dominated in the field of playback singing in the Tamil film industry during Illayaraja’s time.  Both of them heralded a musical golden era in Tamil film industry. It was Illayaraja who gave Vasudevan various types and genres of film songs; Vasudevan sang with almost sincerity and climbed the ladder of success.  Malaysia Vasudevan had begun his career by joining Pavalar Brothers troupe that was run by Ilaiyaraaja and his brothers. When Illayaraja got a break in the film industry, he shaped the singing career of this singer too along with him.  Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 in Selangor, Malaysia Vasudevan had a good backing from Illayaraja and became a star singer. His first debut song for Illayaraja was in ‘Annakili’ and consequently followed ‘16 Vayathinile’, after which he had no looking back. He sang more than 8,000 songs in Tamil film industry and has given his voice for music directors like M. S. Viswanathan, Ilaiyaraaja, Shankar Ganesh, Deva, A. R. Rahman, and Vidyasagar etc. He was considered the ultimate voice for Rajni Kanth's songs and every film that he had sung for the superstar became hit. After T. M. Soundararajan had left singing, Vasudevan was even considered ghost voice for Sivaji Ganesan.  Vasudevan has sung many folk-cum-film songs with S. Janaki, which needed a high pitch. He could match the versatility of Janaki, and many of their duets were on top of the music charts. This singer did not sing in any other language like T. M. Soundararajan, and thus other regional film industry could not exploit his talents.  Vasudevan has sung many sensuous and even romantic songs too which are evergreen still. The songs that he had sung for Illayaraja will always remain evergreen in the film industry.  Vasudevan passed away on 20 February 2011 when he was just 66 years old. He has left a huge fan base and immortal work which can be the inspiration for many generations.
