Shobana was a popular Tamil television actress, stand-up comedian and a host an anchor who died as she committed suicide 3 years back. Born, brought up and educated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu she belonged from a middle class traditional Tamil family and her parents worked in nationalized banks. Shobana from her childhood days had a passion for acting and also had a very good grip over Tamil and was able to speak Tamil very clearly and fluently. She frequently participated in debates, drama, and acting programmes and competitions. It is in one such performance, Shobana got noticed by the troupe members of cult and legendary Tamil stand-up comedian Vennira Aaadai Murthy and was offered to work with them. Shobana gladly accepted the offer and there was no looking back for her from there on. She successfully featured in many comic supporting roles in Tamil movies like-Chillonu Ora Kadhaal. But, she earned instant fame with her stint with the Tamil television serials and shows. She went on to co-host the popular and hit comedy show Meendum Meendum Sirippu along with Vennira Aadai Murthy. At the age of 31, Shobana suddenly became ill with Chikunguniya and suffered from acute stomache. Unable to bear the pain and cope with her illness she committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling in the year 2011 and the Tamil industry lost yet another talented comedy serial artiste.

Aarthi Ganeshkar

Aarthi Ganeshkar is a Tamil comedian and actress who began her acting career as a child artist back in the 1990s with a film called "Sathriyan". She has been involved in many films, projects and television appearances since 2004.  She has done almost 65 films across different languages which include Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. She has been playing mostly supporting roles in movies. On TV, she has mostly done comedy and also appeared as a judge on the show named "Asatha Povathu Yaaru", which is a Tamil stand-up comedy show broadcasted on Sun TV. She got married in 2009 with her comedy show co-artist Ganeshkar. She always aspired to become an Indian Civil Servant since her childhood days and wanted to pursue a career in the same, but later turned to acting. Although she has chosen a different stream for her career, she enjoys acting and expressed her desire to act even after marriage. She recently took part in a reality dance show called “Maanada Mayilada”, and stood second in the show. She participated with her husband Ganeshkar in the show, which was aired on Kalaignar TV. Aarthi has been awarded the Tamil excellence award, Kalaimamani. In 2014, she did some cameo appearances in movies such as Vetri Selvan (2014) and Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal (2014). She went on to become a part of many more films like Guru En Aalu, ‘Thoranai’, Malai Malai, ‘Veerasekaran’, Bale Pandiya, ‘Kutty’, Ainthaam Padai, ‘Aduthathu’, ‘Kazhugu’, Uthama Puthiran, Ethir Neechal, ‘Charulatha’, Ya Ya, Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, Vanakkam Chennai, Vetri Selvan, Inga Enna Solluthu, Naan Sigappu Manithan, Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal, Aranmanai, Prabhu Solomon's ‘Kayal’, ‘Khiladi’, and Vishnuvardhan's ‘Yatchan’, in the year 2015.  Speaking of her personal life, Aarthi married her co-dance partner Ganeshkar from the famous reality dance series on Vijay TV, Maanada Mayilada, in the year 2009. Ganeshkar is also a comedian who has starred in several Tamil films. Both Ganeshkar and Aarthi converted to Christianity after having experienced a miracle in their lives, which they openly confessed on stage before 10,000 people, among an audience of esteemed celebrities such as S. Prabhu, Devi Sri Prasad, Thambi Ramaiah, and S. J. Suriya, among others.  Another Version Aarthi was born on 9th November 1987 in Ooty, Tamil Nadu, India. She is 29 yrs. Old in these 29 yrs. This show was started long ago and made its place in everyone’s heart. She is also very fond of dancing; recently she became a part of Kalaignar, which is a Tv Show purely based on dance. She is an amazing dancer. She began her career with Vanna Kanavugal which bought her name and fame and much bigger platforms and opportunities. Then she got an opportunity to be a Stand Up Comedian, therefore, she became the part of the show named Asatha Povathu Yaaru as a stand-up comedian and mesmerized the audience with her incredible performance and such amazing performances bought her many offers for the films and she continued in the industry and gave hits. In September 2009 she got married with Ganeshkar who is also a comedian; he was one of her fellow comedian. They got married in Guruvayoor in September and then they had a reception in Chennai. The couple was also a part of the show Maanada Mayilada which was a reality dance show; they were dance partners in the show. She started her career with Vanna Kanavugal. The director of the film is Ameerjan and the producer is Rajam Balachander, En Thangai Kalyani it got released in 1988 and the director and producer of the film is T. Rajendran and he himself played the title role of the film.
