The Term Politician Indicates A Person Who Is Politically Active

The term politician indicates a person who is politically active. Any person who seeks political power in a bureaucratic institution is called a politician. The main function of politicians is to propose and make laws or introduce policies for the people of their country. Politicians have a huge responsibility towards the people of their country. It is their duty to make laws and policies that lead to the betterment of the country and towards development.

Politicians are generally active in party politics. The term ‘Politician’ is a generic term that includes people holding positions in various offices ranging from local, executive, legislative, and judicial offices in regional and national governments. India has seen many influential Tamil politicians. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, one of the most influential political leaders, who was the 11th president of Indian from 2002 to 2007 was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He is one of the most influential Tamil politicians of all times. Also, Hema Malini a well known Indian actress, director, and producer is also an influential politician from a Tamil origin.
