Chithra

Chithra is a Malayalam movie actress who has been working in the Indian film industry since childhood. Born on 25th February 1965 in Kochi, Kerala, India, she was nicknamed Nallennai Chithra because of the recognition she received after she worked in an oil advertisement. She has worked in over 100 movies and is best known for her contribution to Malayalam cinema.

The lead actors she worked with are legendary Rajnikanth and Kamal Hasan. In the year 1987, she worked in three films simultaneously, all by three different directors. The movies included Chinna Poove Mella Pesu, Manathil Uruthi Vendum, and Oorkavalan.

The year 1989 and 1990 proved to be fantastic years of her career as a total of six films were released in these two years, which are Ninaivu Chinnam, Thiruppu Munai, Ethir Kaatru, Vellaiya Thevan, Manidhan Marivittan, and 60 Naval 60 Nimidam. She played the role of the nurse, who is in one of the main roles in the film Putham Pudhu Payanam, directed by KS Ravi Kumar against Anand Babu.

She took a break from serials and acted in a few films, and after getting married, she quit acting and started spending time with her family. Chithra was married to Vijayaraghavan, and the couple has a daughter Mahalakshmi. After a huge break, Chithra started acting in films and serials in the late 2000s.
