Another Version of this Bio...

Rajasekhar Varadharajan is a Tamilian actor who is more famous in the Telugu cinema industry rather than the Tamil film industry. Born in the small Theni district of Tamil Nadu to a retired Police Officer D.C. Varadharajan (father) and Andalu Pillai (mother), he wanted to go in the medical field, and he did that. He studied MBBS, and he used to practice in Chennai. His brother named Selva is an actor and has appeared in the lead role in various Tamil films. Though he was an MBBS he became an actor as destiny plays its games.

In the year 1985, he made his debut with the Telugu film Vande Mataram. After the first film, he acted in a row of films blindly. These included films like ‘Talambralu’, Aruna Kiranam, ‘Pratighatana’, Akka Mogudu, ‘ Aradhana’, etc. Some of these movies achieved success, some proved to be an average grocer. Through these kinds of movies, Rajasekhar had somewhere received a place in the hearts of the people. But he was the kind of person who loved to do experiments. He next acted in movies like ‘ Anna’, Papa Kosam, ‘Aagraham’, Nyayam Kosam, ‘Aahuti’, etc. In these films, he was portrayed in such a way which created his angry young man image for the viewers.

Till now, Rajasekhar was in the air completely. People loved to see him in these types of roles. He could have continued doing it, but next, he tried his hand in drama films. Simha Raasi, Ma Annaya, ‘ Gorintaku’, ‘Suryudu’ were well received by the people. From angry young man to being a drama king, the journey had been remarkable. He was then offered to play a different kind of role which was not actually under his domain. But he did not refuse it. In the film, Allari Priyudu, his role as a romantic hero was appreciated by everyone.

He was an influx of talent. Versatility ran through his veins. Action, drama, romance, he left nothing untried. In fact in a row of super hits, he came in a comic role in Na Style Veru and the role was applauded by all. He was the Amitabh Bachchan of the Telugu film industry. The electrifying performances in films ‘ Omkaram’ and ‘Seshu’ took everyone’s breath away. It is rightly said, talent hits a target no one else can hit, but genius hits the target no one else can see. Though all of the movies which he did gave him enough name, fame, and money yet he always tried to do more of experiments with his acting. As a result of his hard work and passion, in 2007, he gave the industry the biggest hit of his career Evadaithe Nakenti and in a row in 2008 came another one ‘Gorintaku’.

After that, he continued acting but could not again hit the mark he had set. In 2015, came his last film Gaddam Gang. People are yet waiting for any of his new project to come. Rajasekhar won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the film Anna in the year 1994. He also won the Nandi Award for Best Villain for the movie ‘Talambralu’ in the year 1986. In his entire journey, his wife Jeevitha (Tamil and Telugu industry fame actress) played an eminent role. He also has two daughters. One of them, named ‘Shivani’ is ready to make her debut with the film Vanda ki Vanda and the other one is Sivatmika. Though he is 54 years of age now, yet he is highly enthusiastic about work.
