Aoki teamed up with Blake Miller to release remixes of various artists. Aoki’s songs ‘Back to Earth’ featuring Fall Out Boy and ‘Freak’ featuring Diplo were used in the films Step up: All In and 22 Jump Street respectively. Aoki’s next two albums Neon Future I and Neon Future II released in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Both the albums peaked at no 1 in best dance/electronica albums chart. His next album Kolony is due, to release in late 2017. He already teased a few singles on the Internet. Aoki is popular for his live performances and stunts performed during the performances.

He earned the Guinness record for ’Most travelled musician in one year," in 2014. He performed 161 shows in 41 countries. He also has the Guinness records for ‘longest crowd cheer’ and ‘most amount of glow sticks for thirty seconds’. He is currently at no 5 in best DJ list. EDM.com awarded him the No. 1 spot on their list of the eleven most charitable EDM producers. Aoki also won the Chiuku Award for his humanitarian work in 2015 by MTV Latin America.
