Himesh Jitendra Patel

Himesh Jitendra Patel is an English actor, Musician, and singer. He was born on October 13, 1990, in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Both his mother and father are Indian Gujaratis born in Zambia and Kenya, respectively. Before the birth of Himesh, his parents moved to England via India. Himesh attended Prince William School, Northamptonshire. At the age of 13, he began to learn piano, and later, he learned to play the guitar also. From 2003 to 2007, he was also an active member of The Young Actors Company, Cambridge. His acting career began through an agency in the same company where he auditioned for the BBC soap opera EastEnders and was selected for the role of Tamwar.

Later in 2010, he again appeared as Tamwar in EastEnders: E20, and co-wrote an episode of the same series with EastEnders co-star Charlie G Hawkins. To explore other opportunities, in 2016, he left the show playing the character of Tamwar for nine years. Himesh has appeared in some short films like Two Dosas, Rapscallions, The Fox, Is This Life? and Enjoy. After EastEnders, he appeared on television programs such as Motherland, The Luminaries, Avenue 5, Ten Percent, etc. He worked as a voice actor in two Doctor Who audio series. He voiced Biotech Dendry in Day of the Vashta Nerada and The Lifeboat and the Deathboat.

He has also produced the 2017 feature film My Pure Land. Himesh made his film debut in 2019 with a significant role as Jack Malik in Yesterday, where he, throughout the film, covers various songs by The Beatles, an English rock band.
