His real name is Michael Andrew Fox. He was born on June 9, 1961, in Canada. This prolific actor is a renowned comedian, a film producer, and author who can really blend himself with any kind of characters in the movie. Also, he is a social activist. His film and TV career are spanning from the 1970’s but he got noticed in the movie ‘Back to the Future Franchise' that follows the adventures of a high school student, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox). Besides this role in the movie, he even acted in ABC’s popular sitcom 'Spin City' which aired in September 1996. He played the lead role in the sitcom along with other actors. But his most memorable show till date is an American sitcom 'Family Ties' in which he portrayed the role of Alex P. Keaton.

The show has been rewarded with various awards, which include three consecutive Emmy Awards to him as an Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. For his noble attitude and work, he was given a doctorate in advocating a cure for Parkinson's disease.
