Star Trek both in films and TV series, have predicted a lot of things. They predicted use of mobile phones, video conferencing, Google glass, tablets. And in this picture the lady is wearing an earpiece for communication, which is equivalent to present day’s Bluetooth devices.
3. ‘Super Mario Bros.’ (1993)
Many films predicted the occurrence of 9/11. But this movie clearly shows The World Trade Centre collapsing in a similar way in which the real World Trade Centre collapsed.

Well, Super Mario Bros. predicted the occurrence of 9/11. But the Matrix predicted the exact date of the tragic event. Neo works in the World Trade Centre, and his ID has an expiration date of 11 September. It is the day on which the fall of the World Trade Centre happened.
5. ‘Face/Off’ (1997)
In this movie, a cop and a criminal swap their identities so that they can fool everyone. Through plastic surgery, they changed their faces to look like each other. This was considered just a fantasy at that time, but in today’s world through cosmetic surgery, people can change their looks. They can even make their skin darker or lighter. In 2010, Spanish doctors performed an actual face transplant.

In this movie, the protagonist named Truman is recorded without his knowledge. His life is a TV show, and everything is scripted. In 1998 this idea did sound ridiculous but nowadays reality shows like

In the movie, Blade Runner, the use of digital billboards is shown. This was considered just a science fiction fantasy at that time. But nowadays advertising on buildings by placing LED screens is quite common. Tokyo and

Total Recall is set in a distant future, and it successfully predicted the use of driverless cars. Driverless cars are not common on the roads, but they are a great topic for research and improvement. Many giants like Uber, Google and Tesla are working on driverless cars.

Metropolis predicted the use of androids back in the year 1927. Androids are robots which have human feelings. They look like humans but are machines. In today’s world androids do exist.
10. ‘Back To The Future Part II’ (1989)
In this movie, the protagonist was sent to 30 years in the future. He arrived on 21st October 2015. The movie predicted the use of hoverboards, flying cars and self-tying shoes. Though the movie got many things wrong about 2015, it also did get many things right. Such as flat screen TVs, video conferencing, etc.
