The role that earned him popularity however was Cee in Do the Right Thing. He also appeared in the House Party series, Boomerang and he also hosted the extremely influential Def Comedy Jam. During this time Martin was starring in his own show called Martin. The show was a huge hit and ran for 5 years. After his sitcom Martin focused on comedy films. He starred in movies such as Life, Big Momma’s House and Nothing to Lose, all of which were big successes. In 2007 he appeared in the star studded movie, Wild Hogs. He also completed a film for Disney alongside Raven Simone. He also completed some voice acting in 2006 in the movie Open Season. In 2011, Martin returned to the Big Momma series for one more movie. It has been reported that a TV Show starring Martin and Kelsey Grammar is in the works and also that Bad Boys 3 is almost done being produced.
