Jay Laga'aia is a well-known New Zealand-Australian actor, singer, writer and a TV host. Though born in South Auckland, New Zealand, he is a dual citizen of both New Zealand and Australia. He is of Samoan descent. He comes from a huge family consisting of six brothers and sisters and two half-brothers. He became famous through Australian TV shows like "Water Rats"," Play School”, etc.
He also appeared as a contestant on a celebrity reality show Big Brother. Coming to his personal life, he married Sandie Jane on 16 August 1990, and they have eight children together. His Star Wars cast mate and his great friend Temuera Morrison became his best man at his wedding. Laga’aia has been living a prosperous life since 1963 till now. To add to his collection of treasures, Jay is at work to release his much anticipated second children’s CD “I Can Play Anything” which is a follow-up to his successful 2007 release “Come, Dance and Sing”.
