James Mcavoy was born on 21 April 1979, in Glasgow, Scotland. His mother Elizabeth a nurse and his father Senior James McAvoy a bus driver. Since his father abandoned him at his early age, his grandfather helped his mother to grow him. He had a High school band when he was studying at St. Thomas Aquinas in Jordanhill. He has a sister named Joy and a younger brother Donald.When he was offered a role in ‘The Near Room’, he accepted and portrayed the character in 1995. Since he showed very much interest in Theater and stage performance, he applied and continued to be a member of PACE Youth Theater.
