Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego was born in Madrid, Spain on June 27, 1973.He is a film director who likes to edit his movies. He likes to direct sci-fi and thriller films.
He started his career with direction of short film titled Musas where he played the role of writer as well as an editor too. It was a Spanish film released in Spain in 1998. In 2001 he wrote a plot for Nomadas. It is a film where a man eats a baby and becomes a baby itself. He edited and directed the film and it was featured in Bagota film festival and Spanish film festival where it won the award for best cinematography.
He edited many short films like Insomnio de una noche de verano (1999), Sobre el arco iris (2003), Thumbs up (2005), Padre (2005), Summer or The flaws of Andres (2006). He also edited and directed La piel azul, TV mini-series which came in 2010 having 2 episodes. It is a series about seven friends who meet to navigate the sea, when they get lost in the sea, because of some silly mistake; they drift apart from each other in the middle of the sea. In 2008, it was rumored that he will be directing first English film Solo but it never turned up.
In 2011, Apollo 18, his first English film gave him huge success and recognition among the Hollywood industry as a director. Apollo 18 starring Warren Christie, Lloyd Owen, and Ryan Robbins was a science fiction horror film where cancelled Apollo 18 mission actually landed on moon but never returned due to which U.S. never launch any expedition to moon. The work was appreciated and it was nominated for Golden Trailer Awards. He landed up edition and direction both of Open Grave in his basket whose plot was set on mystery thriller idea that a man wakes up in a pit of dead bodies with lost memory and has to determine whether the person who saved his life  is a  murder or a stranger. The film was liked by the audience and was nominated for Golden Trailer Awards.
He has completed the direction and editing of The Hollow Point which a story based on a new sheriff of a small town along the borders of U.S. & Mexico who goes there to investigate a drug cartel deal which went wrong. This film is expected to come in 2016 and we are hoping it keeps the audience glued to their seats.
Gallego, aged 42 is doing great with the editing and direction, Hollywood industry is appreciating his work but still a long way to go for him.
