Mark Duplass, born on December 7, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a multi-talented American filmmaker, actor, writer, and musician. Born into a culturally diverse background, Duplass's ancestry includes French Cajun, Italian, Ashkenazi Jewish, and German roots. Raised in the Roman Catholic faith, he attended a Jesuit High School, the University of Texas at Austin, and the City College of New York. In his early life, he was the lead singer of an indie rock band Volcano, I'm Still Excited!! Now, he is happily married to Katie Aselton, his co-star from "The League" and "The Puffy Chair," and they have two daughters, Ora (2007) and Molly (2012). 

Duplass was co-writing and co-producing the anthology series "Room 104" (2017–2020). His diversity in acting includes roles in projects like "Humpday" (2009), "The League" (2009–2015), "Greenberg" (2010), "Safety Not Guaranteed" (2012), "Tully" (2018), and "Language Lessons" (2021). He also starred in the FX comedy series "The League" (2009) and co-created, starred, and produced the HBO series "Togetherness" (2015). He found success in commercial ventures, appearing in a Wealth simple commercial. In 2018, he played a role in "Tully" and "Duck Butter," showcasing his versatility. He also received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Mark Duplass's journey is a testament to his creativity, spanning film, television, music, and literature, making him an incredibly talented, versatile, and influential figure in the industry.
