Erin Heidenreich is an award-winning writer, producer, and director who works on films, documentaries, and exhibitions. She began her career at Miramax Films and holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and Political Science from Northwestern University. Her films and documentaries reveal the dark side of rigid gender norms. She has produced four documentaries: The Other Shore, Mission Congo, Levitated Mass, and Made In India Epic Channel showed a program called ‘Made In Indi >> Read More... . Her first feature-length documentary was “The War To Be Her”, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Some of her short films include Wandering Mind, The Stories We Tell Ourselves, and Six Feet Apart. Erin is a winner of the “Silver Lion Award for Change” at the Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity and her film “Girl Unbound” was awarded the “Tribeca Gucci Grant” and “Abigail Disney’s Fork Films Grant”. She is a frequent panelist at film festivals worldwide and has carried out filmmaking workshops in India and China. As the co-founder of Cinetic Media, she has represented over 300 films, including several Oscar-winning and nominated films such as Little Miss Sunshine and Bowling for Columbine.
Erin has worked as a video journalist for Time Magazine's web portal, programmed for the Bali International Film Festival, and studied under acting instructor Adrienne Weiss. She has directed commercial work for Visa, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Mattel, Google, UPS, and Nintendo, among many others.
