Adina Pintilie is a Romanian screenwriter and film director. She was born on the 12th of January 1980 in Bucharest, Romania. She is a student of the Film Faculty of National University of Drama and film I.L.Caragiale Bucharest- Directing Department. She was part of many talent campuses and various workshops.
Adina has written many short films and documentaries. Some of the popular short films she has written are ‘EA,’ which released in 2003, ‘Unwatched Trains,’ which released in 2004 and ‘Sandpit,’ which released in 2009. She has also written documentaries like ‘Some kind of Loneliness,’ which released in 2004, ‘
’t get me wrong’, which released in 2007 and ‘
,’ which released in 2010.
Adina’s debut film was ‘Touch me not’. It is a drama film released in 2018. The film featured Tomas Lemarquis and
in the lead roles. The film was screened in the main competition section at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival. She won the ‘Best First Feature’ Award and the ‘Golden Bear’ award for this film. Adina’s work is Romanian cinema landscape, fiction, visual art, and documentary.
