Erin Galey is a critically acclaimed writer, producer ,and director. Her filmmaking journey started at age 12 when she made her first film on a VHS camera and later became a graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Grad Filmmaking program. Her stories are often set in a rich, natural environment, featuring strong female leads and exploring themes such as woman vs society. Her thesis film "Sahasi Chori (Brave Girl)" premiered at SXSW and was screened at 50+ festivals worldwide, gaining her praise.
She has won awards like the Women In Film Directing Award, the Carl Lerner Award for a Film With Social Significance, and Best of Fest at Palm Springs. Erin is currently in development for her first feature film “See You, See Me”. She was given a directing shadow position at HBO in 2013, where she studied under Oscar and Emmy-nominated director Lesli Linka-Glatter and writer Angela Robinson. She is also the founder of “The Flicker, Inc.”, a commercial, music video, and story production company. She has done brand and agency work as a director and producer for clients like Adidas, Nike, Marriott, Mercedes-Benz, Intel and WeWork, to name a few.
