Mark Andreas Sheppard (born on May 30, 1964) is a well-known British actor and musician most remembered for his role as Crowley, the King of Hell, in the hit television series Supernatural. Morgan Sheppard and his wife. Although more renowned for his acting abilities, Sheppard started his career in the entertainment world as a musician. He had an interest in music and became a professional musician at 15.
Sheppard worked as a recording artist and was a member of several bands, including Robyn Hitchcock, the Television Personalities, and an Irish band called Light a Big Fire. He was the drummer in the band Television Personalities. After moving to the United States in the mid-eighties, Sheppard auditioned for the production of Cock and Bull Story. His performance in the play received positive reviews, and he won the 1992 L.A Drama Critics Circle Award along with the L.A Weekly and Dramalogue Awards for his role. His acting career was launched with his appearance in the biographical film, In the Name of the Father (1993), which received seven Oscar nominations.
Sheppard starred in several movies later, including Unstoppable (2004), Broken (2006), and Sons of Liberty (2013). In the NCIS series, he has also worked alongside his father, Morgan Sheppard. His recent role as Crowley in the thriller series Supernatural garnered him significant attention and praise for his brilliant portrayal of the King of Hell. He is the father of 3 children, with two children from his first marriage to Jessica Sheppard. He is currently married to Sarah Louise Fudge, with whom he has a daughter. Sheppard now leads a quieter life following his exit from Supernatural, with a recurring role in the television series Doom Patrol.
