John Knoxville is an American actor, producer, stunt performer, screenwriter, and comedian. He was born on 11th March 1971 in Knoxville, Tennessee. His father’s name was Philip Clapp, a car sales clerk, and his mother was Lemoyne Clapp.
He is the co-starter and star of a stunt reality show called ‘Jackass’. From 2000 to 2002, it aired on MTV for three seasons. In 1989, he graduated from South-Young High School in Knoxville. Later, he shifted to California and began his acting career. He started his journey on television with advertisements. He appeared as an extra in some shows.
After the big break had evaded him, he tried to grow his opportunities by casting and writing article concepts in various magazines. Coming to his TV series, ‘Jackass’, he provided many innovative stories. He was known as the leader of the group. Jeff Tremaine, Joe Sperry, Sean Silver, and Dave Carnie are the stars of the show. Jeff Tremaine directed it. Tremaine’s friend helped Spike Jonze to pass the show to different networks. For ‘Jackass’, Knoxville participated with Jeff Tremaine, Chris Pontius, ‘Steve-O’, and Dimitry Elyashkevich. Before premiering Jackass on MTV, his company refused to perform for their weekly stunts on Saturday night.

John has a production company, Dickhouse Productions. Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze are the members of the production house. Coming to his personal life, he got married to Melanie Lynn Cates. They have a daughter named Madison. After 11 years of relationship, they separated in 2006. Then, he had a girlfriend, Naomi Nelson. They gave birth to a child, Rocko Akira Clapp. They also have a daughter, Arlo Lemoyne.
