Asianet Film Awards 2009 is the most distinguished event in the Malayalam film industry where the stalwarts of Malayalam Cinema turn up every year for a night of recognition and celebration. The 11th Asianet Film Awards was held at the Chandrashekaran Nair Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on 17th January 2009 to honor the Best accomplishments of the year 2008. The winners were declared by the vice chairman and managing Director of Asianet Communication Limited, K. Madhavan, on 10th January 2009.

The Asianet Film Awards is an award ceremony were the celebrities from the Malayalam film industry are honored annually by Asianet, it is a Malayalam-language television network from the southern part of the nation, Kerala.
