Song ‘Ramba Ho’ from the movie Armaan mesmerizes all of us today also and that masculine voice of legendary lady Usha Uthup thrill the listeners. 
Usha Uthup was born on 7 November 1947 in a Tamil Brahmin family in Mumbai. She did her education from St.Agnes High School, Mumbai and she has sung in 15 Indian Languages and Various Foreign Languages. Her next door neighbours daughter Jamila, inspired her to learn Hindiwhich later helped her to create a brand of Indian Pop in 70s. 
She explored Indian music to new height by singing the songs in her own style which later became Usha Uthup style. Started her career by singing in night club in Kolkata, Usha became the first Indian Pop singer. Seeing her performance in a five star hotel Shashi Kapoor offered her to sing in films.
In 1968, Usha Uthup sang English Pop song and interviewed by BBC Radio London. Uthup sang several song for music director R.D.Burman and Bappi Lahiri.
Some of famous songs sang by Usha Uthup are Hari Om Hari (Pyaara Dushman), Shaan se (Shaan), Ek Do Cha Cha Cha (Shalimar), Koi Yha Aha Nache Nache ( Disco Dancer) and Darling (Saat Khoon Maaf).
Usha Uthup has received several awards like Padma Shri, Best Female Play Back Singer for song Darling, 4 Kalakar awards in the year (1999, 2002, 2004, 2013) respectively. She is married to Jani Chacko Uthup.The couple has two children's,daughter Angeli and son sunny.

One of the famous playback singers of Indian Film Industry, who has sung more than 25,000 songs in more than 34 languages. He was born on 1 Dec, 1955 at Bhardaha Village in Saptari District, Nepal. He studied at P.B School, Rajbiraj (Nepal) upto class 10th and intermediate from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus. Udit passed his initial life with struggles and got a chance to sing in Nepali Radio, meanwhile he also sang songs in Maithli, Bhojpuri and Nepali in 70s. After singing for Radio Nepal, He moved to Bombay on music scholarship to get training in classical music from Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan . He got his first chance to sing for a movie Unees Bees in 1980 , composed by Rajesh Roshan. His dream came true when he also sang a song with his ideal Mohd Rafi Saheb. But his materialistic struggle got over when he sang famous song’ Papa Kehte Hain’ from the movie Qayamat se Qayamat Tak’ in 1988. This is turning point of Udit’s Life as he became the star in Indian Music. His melodious voice became every hero’s voice. After huge success of this movie Udit wrote new chapter of success through songs of movies Jo Jeeta wahi Sikandar but the song ‘ Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’ gave Udit first filmfare award for best song. He has also sang songs in Oriya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, etc.  He has worked with all leading music composers of film industry. Apart from this , He was also among the panel of judges in Indian Idol 3and Waar Pariwaar (Sony TV). He married twice and His Second Wife Deepa Narayan Jha is a Nepali a Playback Singer who sung for an album “Dil Deewana”with Udit Narayan. His son Aditya Narayan also started his career in Nepali films as a child artist before coming in Hindi films.


Vaishali Mhade

Vaishali Mhade is an Indian playback singer who was noticed in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest. She was just then a voice from a small village. Her voice had enchanted the judges who were invited for the television programme. Her melodious voice impressed learned judges, music directors, and she became the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009, held in Mumbai. She also won the Maratha version of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2008. She also won the mega challenge of Zee TV in 2010. Later on, she did stage shows for Himesh Reshmiya and Bappi Lahiri. Indian musical reality TV game show- Sa Re Ga Ma Pa- which started in 1995, had paved the way for various new generation singers like Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal in Bollywood. Their rise to popularity allowed many contestants to walk into the show and carve a niche for themselves. Vaishali Mhade was also a winner of ZEE TV’s reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge in 2009. This singer was born on August 24, 1984, in Hinganghat, Maharashtra. After winning the contest, she got an opportunity to lend her voice for a title song in Marathi daily soap, 'Kulvadhu', a popular show aired on Zee Marathi. In 2011, she got a chance to sing a song composed by Himesh Reshammiya for his film ‘Damadamm’ in which the music composer himself had acted as an actor. Besides Himesh Reshammiya, She also has sung for Aadesh Shrivastava for her private album Sukoon released in 2012. She started her career as a singer when she was just ten years old. She also got trained under a renowned playback singer Suresh Wadkar from whom she learnt classical music. She likes even western music. Her success in Bollywood has been slow indeed. But who knows about the future? She may achieve her goal even later. She is a devotee of Lord Ganapati( Lord Ganesha). Quite humble in nature, she is now married to Anant Mhade, and has a girl child too. She had sung for many private albums in her career.
