Lalu Alex is a famous actor in Malayalam cinema industry. He was born and brought up in Piravam, Kochi. Lalu Alex is born on 30th November 1954. He is married, and the couple has three children named Ben (who acted in a Malayalam movie Orkut Oru Ormakoot), Sen and Siya.

He started his career in 1978 in a movie Ee ganam marakkumo. He has been active in the film industry since 1978. Recently he has acted in Villaliveeran starring Dileep and many films like Monsoon, , how old are you, etc. in 2014 and many future projects.

He has acted in more than 300 films of which he become very popular by his unique style of acting. He is proven his talent as an actor in police roles, father roles, and many supporting roles. He has acted with almost all famous directors like I V Sasi, Bharathan, Joshi, , and Kamal. His performance in Ee Nadu as a police officer was outstanding. Before acting in character roles, he has acted in villain roles in films like Kanamarayathu by I V Sasi, Karyam nissaram prasnam gurutharam by , Mrugaya, etc. He has been a part of popular films as a role of father, priest and supporting roles such as Niram, Seniors, Indian rupee, ABCD, Mummy and me, Ordinary, Neram, etc.

He has won many awards such as Abhinaya Keerthi Puraskaram for his momentous contribution to the Malayalam film industry by Ernakulam District Pravasi Association (EDPA) Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as part of Metro Fest (2014), Kala Ratnam Award of KALA Abu Dhabi(2010), Best Actor award for the movie Evidam swargamanu by Asianet(2009), Best Villain Award (2009) by Amrita Mathrubhoomi film awards and best supporting actor in Manjupoloru penkutty by Kerala state film awards(2004).
